Survey Reveals 63% of Pet Owners will Extend Hotel Stay when Fido Comes Along

Knoxville, TN - September 2, 2004 - According to a recent 6-month long survey conducted in conjunction with Dog Friendly Directory and BringYourPet.com, 63% of respondents stated that they would extend their hotel stay if they could bring their pet. Instead of spending the money on expensive boarding or kennel facilities, pet parents now prefer to just take Fido along and use the money saved to extend their vacation.

Longer stays are good for the bottom line. Not only do longer stays mean more reserved rooms, but fewer reservations to process, fewer room cleanings, and a more satisfied clientele. However, because pooches and their owners are traveling together in greater numbers than ever before, pet owners are encouraged to call ahead for availability and reservations-especially around the holidays.
